摘要：A sliver coiler apparatus includes a machine frame; a stationary coiler platesupported in the machine frame; a coiler head rotatably supported in the coiler plate; aplatform situated underneath the coiler plate; a coiler can positioned on the platformand having a vertically displaceable can bottom; and a control assembly for controlling arate of downward movement of the can bottom. The control assembly includes anelectronic control device; a mechanism for lowering the can bottom; and a pressuresensor responding to forces exerted by the sliver as the sliver filling operation proceeds.The drive of the lowering mechanism and the pressure sensor are connected to theelectronic control device which controls the rate with which the mechanism moves the canbottom downwardly as a function of the signals generated by the pressure sensor.
