摘要：The present invention relates to a method for evaluating the quality of ananalysis element which is useful for determining the concentration of an analyte in aliquid sample, and to an analysis system which implements such a method. A reaction ofthe sample with a reagent system includes a complex formation of at least an enzymeand a co-enzyme, wherein a chemically modified form of the co-enzyme is a fluorophore.The quantity and/or the luminescence properties of said fluorophore relate to theconcentration of the analyte. The quality of the analysis element is evaluated using anevaluation algorithm, wherein the evaluation algorithm comprises obtaining informationrelating to a measured enzyme activity AEnz(measured), wherein said information is atleast partly derived from a measurement of the fluorescence lifetime of the fluorophore.
