Firstly, I represent myself and China travel service welcome everybody comes to Nanjing. I’m very pleased to be your guide during your stay in Chengde. Now please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Wangfei. You can call me lily. Our driver Mr li sitting beside me who has more than ten years’ experience in driving, so he will make us a safe and pleasant trip. We will always use the same bus while we are here in Chengde. So I recommend that you write down the number of our license plate. There will be a lot of tour buses at the scenic spots which we will visit. If you happened to separate yourself from the group, you would be able to find our bus according the number of the bus. An old Chinese saying may express our hospitality:\"Isn't it a great pleasure to have friends coming from afar \". Mr li and I will do as much as we can to make your journey pleasant and enjoyable. Today we will visit the Summer Mountain Resort. It was built in 1703 and the total area is 5,0,000 square meters. It was completed nearly one century through the reigns of Emperor Kangxi, Yongzheng and Qianlong. In the Qing Dynasty it is the second political center in China. The Mountain Resort is divided into four parts: the palace area, the mountain area, the plain area and the lake area. There are 72 famous views named by Emperor Kangxi and Qianlong in the Mountain Resort. The total length of the palace wall is 10 kilometers. In the lake area of the Mountain Resort there are 8 lakes and 7 islets. It’s the largest imperial garden in China. It combines the different styles of landscapes of North and South gardens.
