摘要：A method to treat a sizing agent in connection with its use in a sizing
composition in the manufacturing of sized paper, cardboard or paperboard, which sizingagent is constituted by at least one alkyl keten dimer (AKD), and which sizing agentexhibits a melting jpoint above 20 DEG C. According to the invention, said sizing agent isheated to a temperature above its melting point, where after the sizing agent ismaintained at a temperature above a phase transition temperature for phase transitionto solid state at least up to charging of the sizing composition, that comprises the sizingagent, to a stock for the paper or paperboard. The invention also relates to a method forthe manufacturing of sized paper, cardboard or paperboard by use of the sizingcmposition, and the paper or paperboard manufactured accordingly.
