春节一家人团聚过年旅游英语作文
My Wonderful Chinese New Year Vacation
Every year, my favorite time is when we celebrate Chinese New Year! It's a special holiday when our whole family gets together. This year was even more exciting because we went on a fun trip during the New Year holiday. Let me tell you all about it! A few weeks before New Year's Day, my mom and dad told me and my little brother that we would be going on a vacation to celebrate the new year. We were so happy and couldn't wait! My parents said we would be traveling to a city called Hangzhou to visit our grandparents and other relatives.
Hangzhou is pretty far from where we live, so we took a bullet train to get there. I had never been on a bullet train before and it was amazing how fast it went! The seats were really comfortable too. My brother and I spent the ride playing games, reading books, and looking out the window at the beautiful scenery passing by.
When we finally arrived in Hangzhou, our grandparents were waiting for us at the train station along with our aunts, uncles and cousins. We were all so excited to see each other! Everyone
hugged and smiled from ear to ear. Even though I see my grandparents a few times a year, I'm always happy to see them. My grandparents live in a really nice house not too far from the city center of Hangzhou. As soon as we walked inside, I could smell the delicious food cooking in the kitchen. My grandma had been hard at work preparing all of our favorite dishes! We all sat down together for an incredible home-cooked feast with dumplings, noodles, fish, and so many other yummy things. After eating way too much food, us kids went outside to run around and play games while the adults cleaned up and relaxed. My cousins and I had a blast. We jumped on the trampoline, climbed trees, played badminton, and just enjoyed being together. Eventually we got tuckered out and came inside to rest. That first evening, we watchedTV and my dad and uncles played poker. Us kids worked on Chinese New Year arts and crafts projects with our moms and grandmas. My little brother and I made lanterns and drawings of the zodiac animal for the new year. When it got late, we put on our new pajamas with cool designs and went to bed so we'd have energy for the next day. The next morning, bright and early, the whole family went to a nearby park to celebrate the New Year! There were performances, games, food vendors, and beautiful red
decorations everywhere you looked. My favorite part was watching the amazing dragon dances and dancers. The bright colors and rhythmic movements were so neat.
We spent almost the whole day at the park, visiting all the stalls and playing games. I won a little stuffed animal by tossing rings. My cousin got his face painted like a tiger. We all took tons of fun pictures together to remember the day. After the sun went down, we watched a huge fireworks show that lit up the whole sky! The colorful fireworks were accompanied by loud rhythmic drumbeats. It was such an awesome way to kick off the new year. Over the next few days, we went on more fun outings and adventures around Hangzhou with our family. One day we visited the famous West Lake and took a boat ride across the water. The lake was beautiful with willow trees surrounding it and little islands to explore. We also hiked up a hill to visit an ancient Buddhist temple and monastery. Another day we went shopping at a huge outdoor market and I picked out some cool souvenirs.
On our last night together, we had one final big family dinner. My grandparents cooked up another incredible feast, and we played games and lit sparklers outside under the stars. I was
really sad to have to say goodbye to my cousins and relatives. But I knew I would see them again soon.
The ride back home on the bullet train went by in a flash. I spent most of it sleeping with my head resting on the window. When we finally made it back to our house, I was very tired but so happy. This was definitely one of the best New Year celebrations I've ever had!
Overall, my Chinese New Year vacation was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. Getting to spend quality time with my extended family is the best part of the holiday for me. And going on a trip to a new and exciting place made it even more fun and memorable. I'll never forget all the amazing experiences we had in Hangzhou - the performances, the fireworks, the historical sites, and just being together. I'm already looking forward to next New Year and what adventures await! No matter what, as long as we're all under one roof and making new memories, I'll be happy.
