一次特殊的转折英语作文
The course of life is like walking through a labyrinth - endless and colourful, unpredictable, with each twist and turn, the trajectory of our lives changes; with each twist and turn, our perception of life is no longer the same. That is why it is essential for people to take a turn. So, are you ready when the turn comes?
A turn can be an opportunity or a trap; it can be easy and pleasant or long and deep; it can be full of thorns or full of flowers. Lu You said, \"There is no way out when the mountains are heavy, but there is a village when the flowers are dark.\" When a turn comes, one must be careful and cautious, and then, with courage, take a big step forward.
Right now, a turning point in my life has been laid out in front of me and is watching my steps with great interest. I am as nervous, anxious, excited, uneasy, expectant and fearful as anyone else in the face of the mid-term exams, because its outcome will determine my future. Some may say that life is still a long way to go, and after this one, there are many, many more chances, so there is no need to take it too seriously; but if you pass it all at once, without taking it seriously, then what is left of life? The twist and the turn, and life has long since come to an end. If you miss it, you don't get a chance to do it all over again, and with the twists and turns, you learn to cherish it. To cherish life, to cherish the present, to cherish what we have.
The turn of events teaches you to choose. Face it, you must learn to lose. Because you can't take everything with you on the road, you have to take certain baggage off to go further. Letting go of burdens makes you lighter. It also teaches you more about what it means to have, and the further you move forward, the less you can lose, the harder you have to work and the stronger you have to be, strong enough to face the next twist and turn.
Turns teach you to smile. What comes around eventually comes around, and instead of trying desperately to avoid it, or rushing headlong into it despite everything, you should stand still and smile in the face of it, and face setbacks with poise.
No matter what you have gone through, what you have gained, what you have forgotten, what you have lost; and no matter how many more turns there are and when the next one comes, I am just as strong, just as brave, just as faced, just as smiling.
Thanks for the twists and turns!
