Unit 5 How do you get to school?
1. 我想周四下午去看姑姑。
误：I would like to visit my aunt in Thursday afternoon. 正：I would like to visit my aunt on Thursday afternoon. 析：指星期几（或某一天）的上午、下午或晚上时要用介词on。如：They are coming on Friday morning. 他们将在星期五上午来。 2. 我们喜欢踢足球。
误：We like playing the soccer. 正：We like playing soccer.
析：动词play的宾语如果是表示体育运动项目（球类或游戏等），该名词前一般不用冠词。如：Do you like to play volleyball? 你喜欢打排球吗？注意：如果指具体物品时，这些名词前也可能加上冠词。如：Which is heavier, a basketball or football? 哪种球重，篮球还是足球？The football I bought is a Shanghai-made one. 我买的那个足球是上海产的。 3. 请再给我一个苹果。
误：Please give me another one apple. 正：Please give me another apple.
析：another作形容词时，本身的意义是“又一的”，“另一的”，不能与数词one一起修饰名词。但可以与two, thee等数词一起修饰复数名词。如：Give me another two oranges. 再给我两个桔子。
4. 这个周末我想去看电影。
误：I want to go to the movie on this weekend. 正：I want to go to the movie this weekend. 析：“这个周末”不可以说on this weekend，应该说this weekend。如：I am going to see my uncle this weekend. 这个周末我打算去看我伯父。 5. 我父亲工作很忙。
误：My father’s work is very busy. 正：My father is very busy.
析：busy虽然有“忙”的意思，但只表示人“忙”，而不表示工作“忙”，主语一般用表示人的名词或代词。如：The headmaster is busy and cannot see you this morning. 校长正忙，今天上午不能见你。
6. 他们一直到下午五点都有空。 误：They free till 5 pm. 正：They are free till 5 pm. 析：free是形容词，不能单独作谓语，须与系动词be一起用作谓语。如：We are free tomorrow night. 明天晚上我们有空。 7. 他一天工作八小时。
误：He works eight hours a date. 正：He works eight hours a day. 析：date指具体的“日期”。如：Date of birth: October 22, 1992. 出生日期：1992年10月
22日。表示“（一）天；日”应该用day。如：One day, he went out for a walk in the street. 一天，他到街上去散步。
8. 全村的人都出来欢迎我们。
误：Whole village went out to welcome us. 正：The whole village went out to welcome us. 析：whole与单数名词连用时，前面要加the, this, that或物主代词。如：I told him the whole story. 我把整个情况告诉了他。He gave his whole life to teaching. 他把毕生献给了教育工作。
9. 她正在教室做功课。
误：She is doing her lesson in the classroom. 正：She is doing her lessons in the classroom.
析：lesson表示“功课”时常用复数形式。如：Tom is fond of lessons. 汤姆喜爱功课。 After school, the boys play first, then do their lessons. 男孩子放学后先玩后做功课。 10. —你能同我一起去看电影吗？ —当然，我很愿意。
误：—Can you go to the movie with me? —Sure, I’d love.
正：—Can you go to the movie with me? —Sure, I’d love to.
析：在would like(love)之后，通常不能省略to，句中的小品词to用来代替整个动词不定式， Sure, I’d love to=Sure, I’d love to go to the movie with you. 当然，我很愿意同你一起去看电影。如：“How about playing tennis?” “Yes, I’d like to.” “打打网球，怎么样？”“好，我正想找。”
