Officers
In order to cope with the serious employment situation in China, the central government has called upon college students to work as “village officers” in rural areas. I highly support this policy for its great benefit to both college students and the villages.
First, as a whole, this policy can/ create a means of moving college graduates from the city to the village// alleviate the employment pressure in the city. Therefore, if some job hunters flow to rural areas, then the rest could have more opportunities and less competition. Second, it is quite beneficial for rural development. College students are a special group of people with rich knowledge, vigorous body and enterprising spirit. Given a proper position, they can make best use of all their advantages and complete various tasks very easily. Based on that, rural areas could achieve
a sustainable and healthy development. Third, this program also gives college students work experience in grassroots organizations. When they step up to a higher post, they can make wiser decisions because of their practical experience in rural areas.
In conclusion, this policy can not only make use of college students’ advantages and cultivate/develop their ability to work in villages, but also encourage a rapid rural development and give villagers more opportunities to get rich.
