摘要：The pantyhose garment (3) comprises a panty portion (5) and two leg portions(9, 11) formed of circumferentially extending interknit courses of yarn (20, 21, 22, 23). Thepanty portion (5) provides greater compression than the leg portions (9, 11). Both thepanty and leg portions (5, 9, 11) contain alternating courses (C-1 to C-8) of coveredspandex yarn (21, 23) and body yarn (20, 22). The spandex yarns (21, 23) in both the pantyand leg portions (5, 9, 11) are covered with bicomponent nylon yarn. The spandex yarn(21) in the panty portion (5) is of a larger denier than the spandex yarn (23) in the legportions (9, 11), while the covering yarn on the spandex yarn (23) in the leg portions (9,11) is of a larger denier than the covering yarn on the spandex yarn (21) in the pantyportion (5). The resulting garment (3) is a pantyhose with a generally uniform opacitythroughout the panty and leg portions (5, 9, 11) which nonetheless provides extrasupport in the panty portion (5). The invention also finds application in other circular knitgarments.
