摘要：A process for the preparation of an isoflavone from a 2'-hydroxydeoxybenzoin(I) is described. The process uses prepared N,N'-dimethyl(chloromethylene) ammoniumchloride as a reactant with (I) in borontrifluoride etherate or other Lewis acid as a solvent.The isoflavones are known biologically active compounds.
