摘要：A sump assembly (11) for collecting and discharging spilt fluids from a floorsurface (16) in a processing plant. The sump assembly (11) comprises a casing (13) which isadapted to be received in a cavity (22) in a floor structure (20), a pump (15) received andsupported in the casing (13), a gap between the casing (13) and the pump (15) to allowfluid to enter the casing (13). The sump assembly (11) also comprises a first filter (17)located equal to or below the top of the casing (13) and extending across the gapbetween the inner wall (29) of the casing (13) and the pump (15), and a second filter (19)located below the first filter (17). In use, the fluid enters the sump assembly (11) throughthe gap and passes successively through the first and second filters (17, 19) into thelower regions of the casing (13), before being discharged from the casing (13) by thepump (15).
