摘要：The invention relates to a method for operating a capacitor, especially as anenergy store for track vehicles. The aim of the invention is to allow for optimal utilizationof the useful energy storage potential of the capacitor even in unfavorable externalboundary conditions, e.g. at an elevated ambient temperature, and/or in case thecapacitor already has a certain age. Said aim is achieved by a method for operating acapacitor (20), in which the capacitor (20) is charged maximally to a point where thecapacitor reaches a predefined maximum voltage (Umax) in order to store energy whilethe capacitor (20) is discharged only to a point where a given minimum voltage (Umin) ismaintained in order to draw energy, said minimum voltage being a variable quantity whichis increased as the inside temperature (Ti) of the capacitor rises.
