it的用法

1.作人称代词

（1）指前文提及的物、事、话语或动植物 He bought a magnazine and lent it to me. （2）指未知的人或小孩

Someone is knocking at the door. Who may it be? （3）指时间、距离、天气、气候、季节、环境等 It is half past eight now.

It’s only half an hour’s walk from here to our school. I hope that it will be fine tomorrow. It has rained much this year. It’s spring now. It’s quiet here.

2、作笼统宾语

（1）在某些动词或介词后面 I like it here.我喜欢这里

She was a rich woman and she looked it. We had a good time of it. （2）在某些习语中。 I got it. 我明白了。 That’s it. 就这样了。

At last we’ve made it. 我们终于成功了。

Let’s make it next Monday. 我们定在下周一。 I can’t help it. 我也没办法啊。

It depends on you. / It’s up to you. 你决定吧。

3、用于成语、谚语

① It is never too old to learn. 活到老，学到老。

② It is easier to fall than to rise. 摔倒容易爬起来难。

③ It is no use crying over spilt（溢出的） milk.

覆水难收。

④ It never rains but it pours(泼水). 不鸣则已，一鸣惊人。

⑤ It is easy to open a shop but hard to keep it always open. 创业容易守业难。

⑥ It takes three generations to make a gentleman. 十年树木，百年树人。

4、作形式主语或形式宾语

(1) Instead of ―to do‖

It is important for us to learn English well.

I found it necessary to tell him about the matter. (2) Instead of ―doing‖

5、强调句型 It is/ was ... that / who ... 对句子中的主语、宾语、

状语进行强调。

She helped me with math after class in the library.

It was she that / who helped me with math after class in the library. It was me that / who she helped with math after class in the library. It was after class that she helped me ... It was in the library that she helped me ... 注意1 强调句中主谓要保持一致 It is I who is to blame. It is I who am to blame.

注意2 强调句中的it is / was 不因为被强调的主语是复数变成they are / were 注意3 强调句的一般疑问句用yes, it is / was或no, it is not / was not 来回答。 Was it she who helped you? Yes, it was.

注意4 强调句的特殊疑问句为:特殊疑问词＋ is / was it that ... What was it that made you succeed finally?

注意5 被强调部分可以是不定式、动名词、主语从句、宾语从句、状语从句 It is his mother’s being ill that worries him. It is what he did that matters not what he said.
