摘要：An adhesive for bonding thermoplastic resin soles to shoe uppers comprisespolyvinyl chloride or a copolymer of vinyl chloride with up to 10% of vinyl acetate havingan intrinsic viscosity of not less than 0.8 partly dissolved and partly suspended in avolatile organic solvent and a polyisocyanate or blocked polyisocyanate. The compositionmay also contain a plasticizer, e.g. dioctyl phthalate, tritolylphosphate or a polyester.Several polyisocyanates are specified, a solution of methylene bis-(4-phenyl isocyanate)in chlorobenzene is used in the example. Solvents mentioned are methyl ethyl ketone,tetrahydrofurane and a mixture of toluene and cyclohexanone.ALSO:A composition forimproving the adhesion between shoe uppers and moulded thermoplastic soles
