Step 1. leading-in by questions

Today we’ll learn a dialogue about“ A Lively City”. Now let’s look at several sentences and tell the meanings of the underlined words and phrases.

Step 3. Self- inquiry and cooperation

Ask Ss to find the sentences in the text, and deal with the key points. 1. 你知道我们有六年的时间没见面了。

What be +主语+ like? How be +主语? What do +主语+ look like? How do you find…? How do you like…? What do you think of…?

Pretty hot and wet in the summer. pretty此处是副词,表示“相当”、另外,pretty 还可以作形容词,意为“漂亮的”。 【活学巧用】

【自我归纳】

用法:感官动词用作系动词时,不用于进行时,也不用于被动语态,其后跟形容词,介词短语或从句作表语,类似的可作连系动词的感官动词还有:feel(摸起来), smell(闻起来), look(看起来), taste(尝起来)等。 【活学巧用】

Step4: Group Works:

Let the students translate the sentences in groups. After that, the teacher call back answers.

1. Write a short summery of the text within 80—100 words.

2. Read the following passage and answer the questions based on the passage:

the Culture Express of Deyang My hometown Deyang is located in the west of Sichuan province. There are six districts in Deyang, they are Jingyang, Guanghan, Zhongjiang, Luojiang, Mianzhu and Shifang. On the north of the city is Mianyang, and at the South boundary of Deyang is Chengdu, provincial capital of Sichuan. Natural environment in Deyang is very pleasing, most of its part belongs to Dujiangyan irrigated area. Inside the big wall, this is the main part of Confucian Temple. We can see a great stone torii with five arches. Through these arches, there are three bridges, a big square and a hall of Dachengdian. Entering the hall, a statue of Confucius sits in the middle, his 12 famous students around him. Every year, a special ceremony will be held to memory the Saint. Ok, now let’s visit the second place, Sanxingdui Museum. There are many kinds of bronze vessels, wares and jade articles in it. These wonderful and fantastic things can be regarded as the symbol of the brilliant culture of the ancient kingdom, Su. Look at this bronze mask, do you find some different things? This is his eyes, do you know why he has this special eyes? Because in order to see farther space. The tree is a jaba tree and at end of every branch, standing a bird. This golden mask is made for an ancient person. The third place, we’ll go to the stone bull park. The name of park comes from a stone bull carved about 200 years ago. The park is seated beside the Mianyuan River, where has so many stone statues, stone buildings, music hall, bull gate and so on. 72 different Chinese dragon pillars stand along the corridor. On the small Chinese Zodiac square, the 12 symbolic animals stand on the top of pillars. Questions:

四、教 后 记

本节课是外研版高中英语必修一Module 4。本单元的中心话题是“City”。通过本节课的学习,我在教学方面有如下几点反思:

1.以学生为中心收集、整理、设计、反馈教学内容。让学生在学习中体验成功和快乐。 2.把课堂交给学生,给他们一片天空,还他们一份自信。

3.导入部分通过几个设问唤起学生的求知欲。让学生进入思维状态,从而进入课文学习,导入简洁自然,直奔主题。

7.本节课对重点单词、短语和句型分析讲解,高考真题再现将零碎的知识点和高考挂钩,使学生明白学习的侧重点。

整个课堂总的来说气氛比较活跃,学生踊跃发言,大胆展示自我。当然在授课过程中,也有一些遗憾。比如由于时间紧,内容多所以课堂节奏有点快。还好学生对本节课做了充分地预习,使教学内容得以顺利完成。

总之,教无定法。在教学的漫漫长路中,只有不停地探索,不断地学习,比较反思,才能领悟教学的真谛、在今后的教学中,要不断地提高自身驾驭课堂的能力。
