Classics are of great worth
Nowadays, more and more filmmakers and TV directors turn to remake the classics of old days.That's why an interesting question comes to our mind: what had we better do with the classics?
Opinions vary individually.On the one hand, some argue that the classics become classics for their everlasting values. One the other hand, the opposite side reminds us of the fact that we are advancing towards,which means that venturing into the unknown over-weights reviewing the past.
As far as I'm concerned, it's of grand significance to keep the classics as well as make advantage of them. The reasons are as follows.
First and foremost, even if the classics are old,they are not out of date. All the tears and fears,the tragedies and merry memories they have been conveying are still alive in our times. In that case, it's a piece of cake for the readers or audience to relate to them. Besides, wisdom advice and abundant experiences which are of much help are provided by the classics generously.Last but not least, by the young's reviewing the old works,there is good news for narrowing the generation gaps.For example,an American teenager may be able to better understand his 90-year-old grandmother by reading some literary classics on the great Depression.
No one could deny that there is conventional and outdated information contained in the classics.After all, time changes and we have to face up with various as well as challenging problems from time to time. What's worse, catching up with the latest news already costs most of our limited time and energy. However,these ought not to be the obstacles in appreciating the classics.
Treasure the classics by making not only the poetry and fictions but also pieces of music and drawings of old days make sense to us! Yes! We are still advancing towards the future, but, with wisdom and experiences of the past!When all is said and done, the past is nothing set against the future, but a preparation and help for it!
