every和each的区别
1、each强调个别，而every则用来概括全体，与all相当。所以，与almost, nearly, without exception等连用时，可用every, 不能用each。如：Each student in this class gave a different answer. 这个班的学生所给答案一个人一个样。Every student / All students in this class passed the exam. 这个班的所有同学都考试及格了。
2、each指两者或者两者以上的“每一”，而every则指三者或三者以上的“每一”。即each可指两者，而every则不能。如：There are lots of trees on each (=either) side of the river. 河的两岸有许多树。
3、each还可用作代词和副词，而every只能用作形容词，作定语。
如：________ of the boys has got a pencil and some paper. (上海卷)

5、every 只作形容词，不可单独使用，只能用于名词前作定语；each可作代词或形容词，除放在名词前作定语外，还可以作主语，也可以单独使用：
Every student has to take one. 每个学生都要选一个。
Each boy has to take one. 每个男孩都得吃一个。
Each of the boys has to take one. 每个男孩都得带一个。
Each has his advantages. 各人都有他的优点。
6、every可与表示数量的词连用，表示时间或空间的间隔，而each没有这个用法。如：
every other day 每隔一天 every other tree 每隔一棵树
Take this medicine every other day.
every three days=every third day 每隔两天(每三天)
He came to see me every few days. 他每隔几天来看我一次。
Every four years athletes from all over the world take part in the Olympic Games.
每四年，来自世界各地的运动员参加奥林匹克运动会。
I have violin lessons every two weeks.
我每两个星期(每隔一星期)上一次小提琴课。
