Rick’s 是名词所有格形式，意思是：瑞克的。 在名词后面加上‘s 表示“…的”， 例如：

2. He has a shower and then eats his breakfast. 他洗澡,然后吃早饭。

have/take a shower 洗澡，淋浴 (句中has 是have的第三人称单数形式） 动词have 和其它的词一起，可以构成许多词组， 又不同词义。 例如：

have a meeting 开会 have a rest 休息一会儿

have supper 吃晚饭 have a look 看一看， 看一眼 have lessons 上课 have a good time 玩得很高兴

3. What a funny time to eat breakfast.

这是一句感叹句。句中的短语a funny time 是一个习惯表达，类似的短语还有： 2

4. The bus usually takes him to work at 19:15.

公共汽车通常在19:15送他去上班。 take …to 送 / 带… …到……

at 19:15 在19点一刻， 表示“在几点几分”，要用介词at.

例如：at 5:00 在5点钟， at half past eight 在8点半(8:30)

5. People love to listen to him. 人们喜欢听他讲话。

love to, like to后跟动词原形， 都表示愿意或喜欢，可以互相替用。 listen 听 listen to 听…… (指 “听”的过程) hear 听见 (指 “听”的结果)

6. get home 与go home 都表示到家，home在这里是副词，不是名词，所以动词get, go后不接to.类似用法的还有: get here / there ; go there 等。如果是表示其它地点的名词时, 则必须用to. 如:

get to school 到达学校 get to Beijing 到达北京 go to school 去上学 go to the park 去公园 7. Thanks for your letter. 感谢你的来信。

thanks for… 因……而感谢某人。for是介词，后跟名词，代词宾格或者动词的-ing形式。如：
