My name is Pelé. I am a Brazilian footballer who played for Santos and the Brazil national team.
I started playing football when I was 8 years old. My father taught me the basics and I soon developed my own style of play. By the time I was 11, I was playing for a local team.
At the age of 15, I was playing for the Brazilian national team. My success in this team led to a move to Santos in 1956. I had an extremely successful career at Santos, winning three Copa Libertadores and two Intercontinental Cups.
In 1958, I made my debut for the Brazil national team. I helped Brazil win the World Cup in 1958, 1962, and 1970. I retired from international football in 1971, having scored 77 goals in 92 matches.
My career after football has been equally successful. I am a UN ambassador, have launched my own media company, and have written several books. I have also been an ambassador for the sport, promoting football to youth around the world.
I am proud of my accomplishments and the legacy I continue to leave on the sport. I hope to continue inspiring generations of footballers for years to come.
